    With a background in art, then as a professional cabinet maker  founder Chris Gagnon was the perfect fit for chainsaw carving.  Focused on providing a new level of quality and realism in chainsaw carving, The Bear Factory is happy to provide any carving you can imagine.

    Process

    Each piece is designed according to your requests. I start with a consultation to find out what you're looking for out of your chainsaw carving. Size, pose, detail, finish, etc.  Every part of your chainsaw carving can be customized. Then, I will send you design sketches, and we'll work together to finalize a design you love. Then, I get to carving! 

    Guarantee

    I create pieces you can enjoy for years to come, indoors or out.  The character of the wood is often part of that.  Checking(cracking) is part of the drying process of carving logs.  While we suggest enjoying it as part of the unique piece of art, checking can always be repaired if you wish.  Ask about our glue-up process that can greatly reduce if not eliminate checking.  I'm also always available to help you you maintain the look of your wood.

    Yes, your chainsaw carving can go outside.  Typically we seal it specifically for indoors or out based on your preference.  With a little care and resealing, your chainsaw carving can last for years even outside.

    Every chainsaw carving is different, so is the price.  We can work to a budget, or give us your idea and we will get back to you quickly with a quote.

    YES!  Bears, dragons, octopus, we've done it.  And if we haven't, we'd love to for you!
